The Fallen Limb
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.

In Memory of Othermama

To my Grandmother, Myrtle Thelma Berry (AKA - Othermama). Rumor has it that she didn't want to be called Grandma, so "Othermama" became her name.  She was a woman of self-determination and she did not  let anyone, or anything turn her from her chosen path.  Her ways were interesting and often eccentric to all of us.  She had a way that made it easy to be around her.  We went for many walks to the park and picked walnuts.  When we went camping, somebody said "she could start a fire without matches."  I know Othermama is smiling down from heaven, especially when  I'm pulling weeds or planting trees and cutting roses off of my rose bushes that I have planted.  I have Othermama to thank because she planted the seed in me to plant the seeds in the ground.  That has led to a wonderful desire to watch things spring up from the earth.

Thank you Othermama for planting seeds in my life!

A Tribute to Our Mother - submitted by Mary Roland

Our Mother was tender, patient and wise.  Now that years have gone by, we realize all the depths of her concerns.  She was a blessing for all she has done for us.  She believed in making the family gather together in Joy and Love.  She sacrificed her life, to make our lives more meaningful.

She taught us how to raise our families in a very positive way.  She made us happy even the years we lived in a small three room house under very poor conditions. We love and miss you so much Mama!

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He just crossed my mind for our 30th year graduation from Washington HS and I found out he passed away. So sad, I'm sorry. He and I used to drive our biology teacher nuts, playing chess in the back of the class, not paying any attention at all, but still getting A's in the class. We had a lot of fun he and I, my condolences to your family.

A soldier gone too soon, but is with me everyday of my life.  Mark is my brother, my inspiration and one of my best friends.  He is and was a great uncle to my children and a person that remained true to what he believed in-FAMILY.  I miss you dearly Mark, but I know your spirit is very proud to see your family making plans to fellowship once again.  I continue to pull from the strength that you left for me to grabb onto.

I love you  :)

God Took Him To His Loving Home
God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be.
He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered "Come with me".
He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend.
He faced his pain with courage, until the very end.
He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain,
God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain.

Memories Build a Special Bridge
Our memories build a special bridge when loved ones have to part
to help us feel we're with them still and sooth a grieving heart.
Our memories span the years we shared, preserving ties that bind,
They build a special bridge of love and bring us peace of mind.
